Vintage sizing is often very confusing, as it is very different from modern sizing. Please see the below article and size chart to ensure that you are able to find your perfect fit in our store.
First things first, you should know how we take our measurements.
All clothing measurements are taken while the garment is laying flat, then that measurement is doubled to establish the proper size, except when measuring the shoulder and length. When a garment has an elastic waist, you can usually count on at least 2"- 4" of allotted stretch.

So how do you take your own measurements? That's the easy part! Using a sewer's measuring tape, follow the directions below to establish your own measurements.

Measurement Where to Measure
Shoulder From neck to shoulder hem
Bust At the fullest part with bra on
Natural Waist At the smallest part of the waist
Hips At the fullest part of the hips
Length From top of the shoulder to the bottom hem (skirts from waist to hem)

Once you have established your measurements, use the chart below to find your size and then get ready to go shopping!
